At GVC we are so excited about the ability to now continually monitor diabetic pet's blood glucose levels over a 10 day time period using a minimally invasive monitoring system. Pictured here is Toby sporting his classy T-shirt that covers a tiny little 2 inch disc it is adhered to his back and contains a tiny sensor implanted into the skin allowing us to continually monitor his blood glucose level. The other photo demonstrates several days of blood sugar levels that allow us to make informed decisions on insulin administration and dietary therapy. If you have a diabetic pet or know someone who does and would like more information, we would love to talk to you!
We have a state of the art digital x-ray system that has been recently upgraded. The new system offers better quality pictures and faster capture time. This makes it easier to diagnose broken bones, foreign objects that pets may ingest, bladder stones, etc.
The image shown on the left is a capture of a dogs pelvis looking at that hips and knees. The picture on the right is our X-Ray room.
Ultrasound is another form of imaging that we use to help us diagnose tumors on the spleen, collect urine samples to roll out bladder infections, look for fluid in the abdomen and also to check for pregnancies.
Our in house laboratory is a great asset to the clinic helping us get bloodwork on our patients faster. We are able to run full chemistry's, CBC's, T4's (Thyroid Level),SDM's (Kidney Level) and have results within 20 minutes!
We also have in house testing for heartworm and Feline Luekemia/FIV that gives results in 10 minutes.
K-Laser therapy is a great way to help our patients with pain while also; improving and promoting healing, increase joint flexibility, reduce symptoms of osteoarthritis, plus more!
